Hudsons Burger Joint

Mix a restaurateur of note, a chef with impressive amounts of experience under his belt and a brilliantly simple concept, and the result is Hudsons Burger Joint on Cape Town’s trendy Kloof street.

Taking inspiration from a famous New York City burger bar, David Raad – the man and reason behind the success of Camps Bay’s famous Cafe Caprice, and Ross Collins – a chef who knows what he’s doing in the kitchen, joined forces after realising the Capetonians’ love of a night out eating burgers. And so, the menu is just that. A variety of delicious, affordable burgers which promise to keep Cape Town’s cool coming back for more, night after night, week after week.

Their concept is a completely unique, simple, more direct burger bar, offering the highest quality burgers you can get in Cape Town. What else makes Hudsons so unique from the rest? Double crunch fries, sour dough buns, a chickpea and lentil veggie burger, vanilla lemonade, delicious Cosmo cocktails and, my fave, the Toll-House cookie. YUM!

And don’t think that simple means basic. With the help of ‘the ideas man’ Jeremy Phillips, the restaurant design, which started out as a typical New York Style, gradually transformed and has resulted in an extremely cosy, organic space which feels timeless and completely original.

Hudons is open from 9am to 11pm Tuesday to Saturday and is located at 69A Kloof street, Cape Town. To book a table call 021 4265974 or email info@theburgerjoint.co.za
