Is the fashion show dead?

I went to the Cosmo Lingerie Fashion Show last night and although it was awesome, i'm wondering when someone's going to come up with a new way of showing fashion...

Putting together an event of this magnitude is a killer, and few people realise how much energy, effort and time goes into staging a seamless show which is normally over 10 minutes after it's begun. What's more is that once you've seen one you've kind of seen them all, which leads me to wonder whether the fashion show concept as we know it is dead.

Why hasn't anyone come up with new, innovative ways of presenting clothes or, in this case, lingerie so that it's not same old same old, instead of throwing good lighting and special effects into the mix in hope that the show will be seen as different? And we can't blame budget either because no expense was spared last night. Do not get me wrong, the Cosmo spectacle was impressive and the crowd seemed to love the theatrical nature of each brand's choreography, but I know we can do better. In fact, this has fuelled a need to get a clothing client into the Brandnew stable (I even have one in mind) so that we can come up with a kick-ass activation which replaces the fashion show.

Don't say I didn't warn you.
