Making more alive choices

(...and silencing the bullies of the language world: ‘should’, ‘I’d better’ and ‘have to’)

The older I get (we DO NOT mention age around here, I have decided that I shall forever be referred to as 25), the more I learn just how perfectly everything works out, at the right time, when we are ready. At the risk of sounding like one of those new-age blah, blah, blah people who have many “number one top seller” self help books, I believe that if we dream it, we do it, and it then happens just the way it is supposed to.

Taking a leap of faith and leaving “The Dream Job” as Group Marketing Manager at Associated Mags where I worked (hard!) on Cosmo, Marie Claire, House and Leisure and O, The Oprah Magazine was just that. A leap.  An “Alive Choice” which felt like a bit of a risk at the same time, but like the only option for me, and as a silencer to the bullies of the language world: ‘should’, ‘I’d better’ and ‘have to’. And I couldn’t have landed in a better space. It’s been 3 months since Brandnew Marketing opened its doors for business, and I already have 6 incredible clients – 2 of which are major international players, and the other 4 brilliant creative brands which I cannot wait to start having even more fun on. It’s such a good feeling when people put their trust in you to take their brand to new heights – especially in the tough times we’re facing.

So now ALL I have to do is rock ‘em and shock ‘em, make sure I have my finger on the pulse (those of you who know me will know that this is not really an option for me), and turn Brandnew into the powerhouse it deserves to be.
